About Troop 7 and Scouting
We welcome Cub Scouts crossing over to join Troop 7!Youth can join Scouting anytime. You need not be a Cub Scout to join and Cub Scouts are most welcome! Boys ages 10-17 have joined the troop as their first scouting experience; many go on to earn Eagle rank. Troop 7 takes pride in supporting a boy-led program. The Patrol Leader method ensures the Scouts develop, run and participate in their own program. Your Scout will quickly become part of the troop through meeting and activity participation
Not only Scouts join; adult participation is a key factor for your child's success in Scouting. Scouts are more likely to remain and succeed in Scouting when their adults, men and women, are active in the troop. Adult Leadership includes
- Scoutmaster & Assistant Scoutmasters - help Scouts with skills & provide guidance to Scout-led program
- Committee Members - run the business of the troop including budgets, fundraising, review Scout rank advancement
- Merit Badge Counselors - Share your knowledge with Scouts as they discover the world
Troop 7 strives to keep fees in check and present a quality program. Fees vary from year to year
- Scouts registration annual fee ($87 for 2023)
- Adult registration annual fee ($57 for 2023)
- Monthly camping meals fee - $15 or $20 for 3-night weekend
