Positions of Responsibility
Scout leadership roles are known as
Positions of Responsibility. Scouts have the
opportunity to learn and apply leadership principles while
serving the troop in a position of responsibility.
Star, Life and Eagle Scout ranks require that a Scout hold a Position of
Responsibility for Advancement: 4 months or more for Star rank and 6
months or more for both Life and Eagle ranks.
Below is a list of Positions of
Responsibility for Troop Positions and Patrol
Positions. Each Scout can review and determine where
he can best serve and learn leadership.
