Fundraisers vs. Service
Troop 7 Fundraisers
has several fundraisers for the benefit of the
troop. Funds are used
to provide the necessities of the troop programs
including Rank and Merit Badge patches , monthly
activities and equipment. All Scouts and their
families participate in each of
the troop fundraiser events for the
benefit of all.
Thumb Good Neighbor - It is easy to save
money and support Troop 7 with the Tom Thumb Reward Card
and Good Neighbor fundraiser.

Knights of Columbus Fish Fry –
assist Knights of Columbus
Council 7099 at Lenten Fish Fry meal
in the St. Francis of Assisi Family Life Center. Scouts and Adults work
in the kitchen serving and dishwashing. Younger Scouts help with
carrying plates and serving desserts. Dates will be
Camp Cards – Scouts sell Longhorn Council
Camp Cards with discounts to local businesses. The cards
sell for $10; $5 goes to the Troop funds and $5 to Longhorn
Council. Buyers can more than recoup the $10 purchase
price in sponsor discounts. Scouts sell door to door and at
scheduled sales at local stores. March - April
Main Street Days parking – in
conjunction with the Lions Club (Grapevine),
sell parking at the Grapevine Main Street Festival
event. Scouts and
Adults signup to cover at least two shifts.
Friday-Sunday, weekend before Memorial Day. May
Grapefest parking –
in conjunction with the Lions Club (Grapevine),
sell parking at the Grapevine Grapefest event.

Christmas Wreaths – Troop 7
sells Christmas Wreaths and greenery at St.
Francis, our Charter Organization.

Adults and Scouts signup for four separate
tasks: Individual sales, sales at St.
Francis, wreath assembly and distribution at St. Francis. September-December
Fundraisers are separate from Service Hours.
Fundraisers raise funds for the benefit of Troop 7 to cover program costs. Fundraiser hours are not tracked.
Service projects are for the benefit of the
community, not Scouting.
Service hours are recorded for each Scout and Adult.

Volunteers Adult Fundraiser
volunteers organize the events that make it
possible for Troop 7 to raise the funds that
support our troop and Scout programs. Scouts and
their families provide the manpower - be
sure to step up throughout the year.
